Antique Cold Meat Serving Fork, 1847 Rogers Bros "Vintage" Pattern
Found this beauty tucked inside an old silverplate chest. This piece caught my eye right away with the grapes and tendrils winding down the handle.
This is the "Vintage" pattern by International Silver, one of the most beloved silver plate patterns ever made, designed by Samuel Stohr with grape clusters and leaves that flow right into the fork tines. Marked 1847 ROGERS BROS XS TRIPLE. It's a cold meat serving fork, about 8 3/8" long, with the kind detail you just don't see in newer pieces.
It's in really good shape for its age, just a few fine scratches here and there that tell you it's lived a little, but nothing that takes away from how gorgeous the pattern still is on the table.
