Antique Green & Gold Porcelain Ramekin with Saucer, Bawo & Dotter, 1902
I love a beautiful, old find and these little souffle dishes are exactly that. They came to me from an Asheville, NC estate from a family of antique dealers, which tells me they were chosen by people who knew what they were looking at. Each one carries the Imperial Crown China Austria mark, a decorator's mark from pieces imported by Bawo & Dotter in 1902.
The scalloped edges are trimmed in gold laurel and filigree, with soft green bands on a white ground and a bit of metallic shine. They're pretty enough to set out on their own, and sturdy enough for custard, mousse, or a single scoop of ice cream. They're just as sweet holding a little trinket or a few rings by the sink.
Each listing is for one ramekin and one saucer, in excellent antique condition.
