Product Details
Found this little sugar shovel and couldn't leave it behind. Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. made it back in the Civil War era. The handle has a classic, elegant pattern typical of the period, and it's 6 7/8" long, small enough to tuck into a sugar bowl but sturdy enough for daily work.
The silverplate carries the kind of soft, honest wear you'd expect from over 150 years of real life in someone's kitchen, gentle scratches and a bit of age along the bowl and heel. Nothing that takes away from its charm, just proof it's been loved. I gave it a good polish with a natural, non-toxic cleaner so it's ready to go.
Simple, useful, pretty, and just as happy stirring coffee, scooping loose tea, or spice.
Ready for a new kitchen to call home.
