Violets & Roses Hand-Painted Cottage Garden Plate, Gold Scalloped Rim
I found this one on Hilton Head Island, among a stack that had clearly been loved and cared for.
This hand-painted plate dates back to the 1960s–70s, and the artistry still holds up beautifully. Soft pink roses, white daisies, purple violets, and blue forget-me-nots are beautifully arranged across a pale green background. The scalloped edge is irregular in a lovely handmade way, trimmed in a gold gilt rim that catches the light just right.
It's fitted with holes on the back, so it can be hung. At 8.5" across, it's a perfect size for a gallery wall, a plate rack, or leaning on a shelf among other collected pieces.
Excellent condition.
I have more plates from this same artist in my shop if this one speaks to you: https://www.myvintagealcove.com/store/Display-Plat...
